Hello- 26 y/o, married couple, no kids yet. Plan to buy a house next year closer to his graduation. Recently took the weekend trip to Ozarks for 199 and attended the bluegreen vacation presentation.
I make 110K/year salary.
Husband in grad school and should make 100K+ once graduated next December 2027. Already has a job confirmed through family company.
We went into the timeshare not planning to do anything - then it of course became enticing.
We love to travel and plan to at least a couple weeks a year right now.
Our offer:
5K points / year for $12,500. Plus maintenance fees (currently $900/year, but of course will continue to raise)
Loan of course would be 16% interest. $300/month pays it in 4.5 years.
Incentives:
2 round trip air tickets up to 1K
6 RCI weeks (2/year x 3 years) - $299 each
1 free RCI week for anytime within the next year
1/2 off maintenance fees for first year
Also received the charter so any bluegreen location is at set price of $89 for studio, $99 for 1 bedroom, $109 for 2 bedroom, $119 for 3 bedroom unit / night no matter what dates or day of the week.
With blue green, we also have access to all of Hilton grand vacation locations.
Any thoughts on if this is worth it for us?
