I usually hike without my camera, but I purchased a superzoom camera I sometimes use for birdwatching ID. It is a fairly heavy camera and I am struggling to keep it steady on my subject when I don't have it on a tripod. I've seen some walking stick/monopod combos, and I wonder if anyone has used these. If so, is there a brand you'd recommend. I know it won't give me the stability of a tripod, but could imagine it coming in handy in some situations.

I love home popped popcorn, and personally think movie theater popcorn and coconut oil popped popcorn is not so great. (No judgment, just personal preference.) Most of the time I just sprinkle with salt, and sometimes a little real butter. I pop with avocado oil mostly, but recently experimented with walnut oil and really liked that. It's expensive and hard to find though. Anyone else pop with walnut oil? What unusual oils have you popped with and had success?
