Wondering if anyone can help me in getting anything actioned here. I work full time as a single parent so I’m still entitled to a small amount of UC and the reimbursement of 85% of my childcare costs. I am well under the threshold of maximum amount allowed to be claimed each month. I declared costs in December which covered me until the end of march. I was given this split up despite me paying it in full, after an absolute ordeal even getting it approved they have not paid me around £200 which I feel should have been on my march UC but at the very least it should have been on aprils. I am constantly calling UC, having my case escalated to a caseworker who then refers it back to the job centre and then a person from the job centre calls or messages my journal but still doesn’t resolve my problem. I have had to declare more childcare costs for the next term and have spoken to the same woman handling my claim re this underpayment. With a lot of pushing she agreed it did look like I hadn’t been fully reimbursed and that she would look into it, but now silence. When uploading my new costs I have asked in my journal for confirmation my proof is acceptable and confirmation the missing payment is being investigated. On both occasions this women had replied to confirm I have uploaded the correct information but continues to ignore my question about the previous costs which I’m owed. I’m going round in circles every single month. I had to make a complaint last time just to get the first lot of childcare paid at the correct time and have been doing this since December as they failed to even give me the outright childcare costs help when I started working despite me asking numerous times to get information on how to claim this. What can I do that I’m not already doing?
