Help getting started

Hi y'all. I started playing Hearthstone earlier this week and I enjoy it so far. Unfortunately I've hit a sort of road block (or series of road blocks) that I just don't know how to work around. I blew through the bots pretty easily (I assume this is true for the majority of new players) which didn't prepare me for actual matches. That's fine though, I adapted fine at first. Getting through Bronze/the ranked tutorial was also relatively easy. The issue is that now I feel like I have actual opponents and I keep losing in ways I see no real work around. I have been playing druid because I liked being able to play early and having mana regen enables that.

Naturally I've been using an aggro deck/build after trying out imbue for a while and running into the problems I still have. In half my games I feel pretty ahead at all points, but in the other half I feel completely shutdown very early. The issue is that I don't know how to deal with "spellcaster" decks. I can widen my board early with low cost minions but when a paladin plays a spell that does three damage to all minion for 3 mana everything I set up is destroyed and at minimal cost for the other player. Similarly, when mages/warlocks play early game spells that allocate damage early or any kind of "AoE" effect damaging spell from any class everything just blows up and I have no idea how to work around that. Guides on youtube haven't been helpful because they mostly just describe how the deck works theoretically rather than showing it in play against the heroes I'm having trouble against.

Is there a form of counterplay I'm missing/ignoring/failing to maneuver? Should I switch to another hero/deck? I'd like to stay with the aggro format/playstyle if possible. Thanks for your help!

Going to copy paste this here so that people more clearly understand my issue/my line of questioning. I do appreciate any insight, but I already understand the meta-strategy of an aggro deck:

I never plan on winning late game. The issue is that winning early game is impossible without counterplay tools to basic spell-based decks/plays. I cannot find anything in this deck that would function as such even if I played differently. My question is: am I just not using the deck correctly? I would assume so based on how well other people do with it. I just can't tell from looking at it what the correct usage would ever actually be.

Is it the case that some decks in Hearthstone are just completely impotent depending on the opponent? The game is partially RNG based but that seems like overkill.
