Just started playing Hearthstone! Tell me something I won't understand until I play the game for longer.

What the title says. I'm very excited about this game though! It seems like a lot of fun, even though I don't know what I'm doing most of the time lol

13 years. 4,000+ ranked wins. Never hit Legend. This month I stopped trying — and it finally happened.

13 years. 4,000+ ranked wins. Never hit Legend. This month I stopped trying — and it finally happened.

I was 15 when I downloaded Hearthstone the week it launched on the App Store.

I'm 28 now. Over 4,000 ranked wins. Nearly 300 hours in Battlegrounds. Competed in local tournaments. Golden portraits on almost every class.

Legend was the one thing I never had.

Not for lack of trying. I hit high Diamond multiple times over the years. I knew the game. I could feel when a play was wrong before I could explain why. But every season, something fell short — the consistency, the psychology, the willingness to grind through the bad sessions.

I was always "that guy." The veteran who somehow never got the card back.

This month I came back with zero expectations. The game offered me a free Priest deck — literally zero dust invested. I picked it because Priest was the closest portrait to 500 wins. That was the only goal. Gold the Priest. Nothing else.

I wasn't chasing Legend. I wasn't even thinking about it.

I started at Bronze 10. No Star Bonus. Every star earned one at a time — against players climbing back with 10x multipliers in fifteen wins.

When I hit Diamond 5, I started documenting every game. Class, archetype, win or loss. Treated it like data. Turns out that's easier when the pressure is gone.

35 games from Diamond 5 to Legend. 25 wins. 10 losses. 71% win rate.

Game 31: a Rogue stole every legendary I needed for late game. Gone. Just like that.

Game 32: Demon Hunter. My worst matchup all climb. The one I'd been losing to almost every time.

I won. I wrote in my notes: "no poder do milagre." The power of the miracle.

Three games later, at 00:40 in the morning, after a dinner break with a friend in the middle of the session — it was over.

188 wins. One month. First Legend ever.

The teenage dream I always knew I deserved came true the moment I stopped making it the point.

See you in the tavern. 🍺

Can we make a rule that requires an OFFICIAL link to the artwork when talking about "AI images"

It's getting ridiculous to the point where it actually hurts the artist that made the image.

People start a hate thread about an artist while not even realizing that the image was created by a random twitter/discord user.

I think every "This is AI" post should be insta flagged by the system and unless there is a link to the OFFICIAL artwork by Blizzard that mods should just delete it.

How to defeat Demon Hunter?

Guys,

I'm legend 2000-3000, i have all cards and decks but this meta i love playing Shaman as it gives me most joy with the heralding, playstyle, little drop of RNG, cool positioning vibes and potential of burst and control. But each time i'm climbing to 2k i'm finding 5x No-minion DH's which drop me again to 3-3,5k.

No matter if my curve is perfect, no matter if i find growing elemental, herald rush cards, aggro cards, counter cards or my rng is somehow working - at turn 5-6 my board is wiped with rush minions and i'm 14 health while their board is dropped with Eternal Hold 0-mana Asphyxiodon, 5 immune raptors, 1-mana infestation worms or dormant animals.

If i somehow can drop Deathwing at 6 mana it may be the only way to survive but drawing 4 heralds, Ultraxion and Deathwing while countering his actions is like less than 10% happening.

How can i manage to win with this No-minion DH so i can climb a little more without the HUGE luck?

Thanks!

Game breaking arena bug

Was trying to push for this season’s 12 win arena skin. Reached 11, win my next game only to realize the game didn’t register it and lose the one right after that.

Send a ticket thinking surely this is insane as I reached the 12 wins I needed and should be retroactively granted the skin (included time stamps of the game and system verified it)-> shitty AI response.

Literally what’s the point of going for these hard to get rewards if your whole streak can be negated by a bug 11 wins in, I’d advise steering clear of arena until a fix has been issued.

Is this the best set of cards in one expansion for one class ever?

All cards for Warlock in Kobolds ended up being at least 4 star card at one time. Have we ever seen anything like this ?

Hello everyone,

Patch 35.2.1 is a server-side hotfix patch, rolling out today, Monday April 20.

  • Fixed an issue where Knockoff Wisdomball would not function correctly when cast by Magicfin Apprentice with Brann Bronzebeard in play.
  • Fixed an issue where Dramaloc Sticker would only apply the base Attack bonus instead of using the minion’s buffed Attack.

  • Fixed a desync issue where Falling Sky Golem could show different stats from each player’s perspective.
  • Fixed an issue where Archaic Scroll only worked with Tavern Spells (it should work with all spells).

This honestly never happens.

I don’t even own Deathwing. Farmed 2 Deathwings and 3 Medivh. Still had 1 Medivh in my deck! The game was so wrapped up I didn’t even get to play them. Was on a losing streak before this so it’s nice when you’re the one drawing perfect for a change.

Tolvir OTK in Standard

Been experimenting with confront the tolvir. This was a funny otk. The deck sucks, but I’m making a decent tolvir deck involving using the Elise 1 cost location, which has been performing well.

new Mistress Nagmara skin for Warlock - basically Blizzard trolling us at this point after censoring near-identical card artwork?

Like this has got to be intentional right? There's no way it's not...

Inappropriate artwork my foot - it's plenty appropriate when they want 20 dollars...

We used to get this for free as part of the core set!

How does Priest has a 38% winrate ?

Everytime I meet one they stall the game endlessly and pull lifesteal and taunt out of RNG cards until they can drop stronger cards each turn due to imbue.

Is there some secret weakness to them ? Is the Meta so unfavorable ?

Was playing Dragon Warrior, Auradin and Spell Demon Hunter.
