Wanted to hear some inputs on the ground for my fellow FnB folks. I last worked in FnB around 8-10 years ago but it was mostly part time work. Back then i was earning S$6.50/hour.
I recently started a new job in the FnB industry. They offered me $2.1K gross. I accepted cos i was desperate (long story). It’s a 6 day 44 hours work week. Mostly on my feet and moving about to serve.
I was from a different sector 2 years ago and was earning double the amount (i’m a degree holder). Doing this job temporarily while i send out resumes. I’m not complaining about the work itself- mad respect to FnB people out there but is it really this bad that my take home pay will be about $1.6K?
In this economy it’s literally peanuts. Thoughts?
