Context: 5’11 M 19yo 250-260 pounds. Most I’ve ever done before was a 5-day fast and occasional 16-24hrs (on purpose and accidentally).

As of right now I’ve reached the end of a 7-day water fast. I’ve had no issues during it besides common ones (hunger, fatigue, etc.).

Throughout the week I’ve supplemented electrolytes using table salt, potassium chloride salt, and magnesium tablets in 2L of water that I sip throughout the day (roughly 1500mg of sodium, 700-1000mg of potassium, and 500mg of magnesium). No additional sweeteners, etc.

I really hate the taste and smell of salt water, so over the week I’ve grown to detest drinking the salt-water concoction. Earlier today (my 7th day) after already having completed around a litre of the salt-water I tried drinking it and body just rejected it entirely - before I even got my first sip down I threw up. I thought no problem, obviously I just hate the taste so I’d thought I’d relax on finishing the salt-water for the day, and the next day I’d buy some water flavouring to make it easier to stomach.

However, a couple hours later, I threw up out of the blue a lot more than I did prior.

Should I be concerned and end the fast? What’s happening? Some help would be really appreciated!

\*PS: I’ve been dealing with some painful but only periodic acid reflux if that’s of any importance, started around day 5-6 of the fast.
