I bought a head gasket/timing kit off of Amazon and the previous owner has overheated the car way too hot and I had to buy a remanufactured head but the head gasket and timing tensioner in the kit turned out to be bad. It was a budget fix but turned out the head gasket blew 2 days after I started driving it and the tensioner for the timing broke after a 200 mile drive and was curious if anyone had a similar issue with a cheap kit like that and if a gates timing belt and tensioner will last? It looked like the spring on the tensioner in the Amazon kit failed and fell off causing the tensioner itself to rattle and pull the threads out of the block. So I was just curious as to if anyone had the same issue with a cheap kit?
