My instagram for falsely flagged and suspended last year back in may of 2025 and I’ve now been back on instagram successfully since September with no issues.

After losing my IG I found this subreddit and quickly learned that the issue was bigger than me, after surveying the sub for weeks I literally tried almost every option except suing meta in small claims court, to sum it up nothing worked for me & buying meta verified on a separate account personally didnt do anything aswell and my original instagram account is still suspended to till this day.

Back when I made my original account I also made a spam for personal close friends that I quickly forgot about and abandoned, but when my main account got suspended I got reminded of its existence when receiving a separate suspension email for affiliation.

I ignored the recovery instructions on the spam account because i only cared for my main, for my main IG I was only instructed to submit a face scan and they’ll get back to me, they never got back lol. So out of desperation from waiting and trying almost every option i finally opened the recovery instructions for my spam & noticed it asked for an ID scan along with a face one, I submitted both and the suspension was lifted and my account is still active, before i tried making new accounts but they all got taken down in hours, I honestly dont know what makes it work it seems like a glitch but best case for account recovery seems to be to just have a backup linked to your meta profile just incase before it even happens, I dont know if this would help anyone but maybe if anyone has any linked restricted accounts your best bet is directing efforts towards any account that isnt poisoned with the original ban/suspension
