A reminder of the rules of r/RolexWatches from the Mod Team

Please read the rules and comply with them in all your dealings here be that posting or commenting.

If you are wanting to query the authenticity of a piece it is expected that you do your own homework first. Use Google Lense, have A.I. check it for authenticity. Study photos of legitimate references to compare **before** you post here.

If after all that you are unsure then by all means post but if you do make sure that the photo is clear, with good light and includes close, clear photos of the dial. If you know the watch is fake and still post you will be banned.

Posts not doing us the courtesy of following the rules will be locked or deleted and the poster may be excluded from participating here moving forward.

This sub is designed for the discussion of Rolex and Tudor watches, not to see if your DHGate “shitter” passes the sniff test.

Thank you,

The Mod Team

Today I’m wearing my Omega Railmaster

Since taking this pristine previous generation Railmaster in a watch plus cash deal for my 1978 GMT Master 1675 this watch has not left my wrist now for 21 days.

Ordinarily I would have changed watches at least 30 times in this period and this entry level Omega has punched well above its weight class and has dethroned my entire collection. This is the first watch I have worn on the steel bracelet consistently. I love how there is not one polished surface on this watch. 100% brushed and understated. Even the hands are brushed.

The light play on the dial is phenomenal and this watch has design cues from the 20’s to the 60’s with each decade having representation with the railway track seconds track, the sector dial, pencil hands and shark tooth indices gelling together in a 40mm case. METAS certified with the calibre 8806 movement this watch internally is identical to the current no date SMP300.

I’ve now started the cull of my collection as this humble Railmaster has upset the apple cart so much. Many casualties are anticipated.
