Hello my fellow pom family.
Just wanting some advice/help with my beautiful old lady. She’ll be turning 16 in July, but lately noticed her health has deteriorated (yet she’s still very joyful and vocal) I know roughy almost a year ago she was diagnosed with IVDD but I didn’t think going through with the surgery since she was 15 at the time and I didn’t wanna risk any other complications.
But lately she’s having a hard time really walking, she’s mostly been on bed rest while carrying her out to the bathroom.
I heard that maybe helping her get Gabapentin will help but was also wondering if there are any other things I could do to help her out.
I noticed that her head has been tilted to one side more than the other recently so I was wondering if that has also progressed in the severity of her symptoms.
I am planning on taking her to the vet to do a check up but just am not ready for the bill, I’m currently in a bit of a tough situation but really want to do the best to take care of my dog.
