Hi! New to the sub, here are some pictures of my (not so) little guy Otis.

He is not 100% pomeranian, I had been told his mix is Beagle.

I just adopted a 12 yo Pom that was shaved due to severe matting when animal control confiscated her from her previous owner. So she is regrowing her hair. It’s coming back in wirey and thin which I understand is possible when having to shave so close to the skin.

My question is about the best food to support her hair regrowth. I currently feed her Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach but found the Royal canin food specifically for Poms. Does anyone feed that and find it helpful with their coats?

I added a pic of what her hair currently looks like. I got her almost a month ago and she is terrified of brushing and grooming so please no judgements on what her hair looks like. I am working with her to regain her trust with being brushed and am looking for a groomer who will help and not traumatize her more.

If you have other suggestions that have worked for you, I’m open to hearing them as well! However I will only feed one that follows WSAVA guidelines.

So my 9 month old Pom started squinting his eyes about 10 days ago. It started the day we moved to a new apartment. I took him to the vet and there’s no cornea ulcer and he was prescribed some antibiotic drops. He’s been on the drops now for a week but still randomly squints. At times his eyes are wide open and he looks fine but then he will randomly squint, especially after walks or when he’s scared. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I’d take him to the vet again but wanted to check here first. These two pictures are from the same day so you see what I mean that he’s fine at times and the randomly squints. He’s also been extra skiddish and scared/anxious since we moved to the new apt. I don’t know what to do anymore.
