Sup guys, I do some inkjet printing on the side and my biggest pain point has always been variable data (numbering tickets/badges) and imposition. Programs like CorelDraw or older desktop apps would literally freeze my PC because they try to duplicate vectors for every single page in memory. Do I need to say that I hate those heavy, expensive, big corporation software?

I’m also a software engineer, so I decided to scratch my own itch. I spent the last month building PageCraft, a completely browser-based imposition and VDP (Variable Data Printing) engine. I literally decided to build it for personal use, but I thought it could be more.

There's no installation, OS agnostic (runs in the browser), completely client-side for now. And I worked hard to make a preview with little to no lag, no heavy PDF generations while working on the project.

It’s currently in its very initial MVP stage, completely free, and hosted online. I want to build features that real print shop operators (and I) actually need.

If anyone deals with numbering, tickets, or custom imposition, I’d love for you to test it out with some heavy files and let me know where it fails or what features I should prioritize next.
