AITA for leaving the front door open?
this is so minor but last week my parents for some reason ordered, i’m not joking, 20 different things off of amazon. a bunch of bags, medium sized boxes, and 4 large, vertical boxes that were pretty heavy. the heavier packages were parts of my dad’s desk that he ordered which consisted of iron bars, a large wood top, etc. my mom was working inside so i called out and told her that packages were here, she told me to bring it in. we have those old doors with the main wood door and the hinged glass door which snaps shut really fast for some reason (i have no joke gotten bruised from the door hitting my leg). i propped open the glass door and left the wood door open because i would’ve had to open and hold the glass door otherwise, and with the weight of the packages that wasn’t going to work by myself. my mom yells at me to close the door because i would let bugs in, which is a semi valid concern, but i literally couldnt hold up the heavy packages and keep opening the door (a twist knob) by myself. she didn’t get up to help me because she was busy with work, which is fine. i had the door open for a minute max for all the packages, but she kept yelling at me to close the door. i told her she could help me open and close the door but she said she was too busy. she keeps complaining that i let bugs in but i have yet to see a single bug; it’s starting to piss me off because if she cared that much she really should have taken 30 seconds to open and close the door rather than dragging on complaints for a week. AITA?
