Flame reading divination help¿??!

So I was doing a chord cutting ritual in my now-ex-situationship's house and the spell called for two candles in a bed of herbs and a wooden bowl. I didn't think that was enough herbs so I wrapped the candles in more herbs and put in herbs in the cord and more herbs. Did I mention more herbs? The spell was so powerful that it burst into flames. So many flames, they spilled everywhere all over the room and eventually took over the entire house. My aura wasn't farming enough and those Etsy witch chants weren't very effective to control it so I took it upon myself to get out of there to try and get a better reading. On the way out, I saw the ceiling take the shape of a broken heart. 💔 Then in my more "big picture" reading I could of sworn I saw Aphrodite herself! I was rudely interrupted by the police saying that I violated my restraining order and are now suspecting "Arson." I don't know who that is so I told them it was me and now I'm using my bestie's prison phone to get an interpretation on whether or not my ritual worked. So what's the verdict, witches? What could this mean? Did my ritual work? Should I have used more herbs? Did I get blessed by the goddess herself? Did my ex cheat on me with Arson?

You have to have the utmost respect and make absolutely sure that it is responsibly and ethically sourced. If you are to collect it yourself, make sure that it is paid for. Whether that's by leaving an offering or something else that is out of the scope of my knowledge. Don't go hacking into random strangers'graves, that is sacred ground and should be treated as such. When you use it, it is very potent, so be very careful. In my personal opinion, based on my own personal experience, it is not for beginners. Think of it like you are working with a spirit, or a person, because you are. People have free will so they can choose not to aid you in your request, and at the worst they can sabotage it.

The first time I collected grave dirt, I did it all wrong and disrespectfully. I just took dirt from random strangers'graves and hid it under my bed. I think he may have been a violent man and didn't appreciate being told what to do. He didn't like that so they punished me with nightmares of him and mild insanity. What came over me was so heavy that I had to discard of it in the woods somewhere just to get relief. I mean it worked thank God but I would never do it like that again. Before I discarded it, I did use his grave dirt in a spell against some guy that was a roommate of my female friend that tried to commit violence against her. The spirit did help with that strangely enough, at the cost of my sanity and sleep. That guy left her the hell alone after that. And I did inadvertently learn that if you keep grave dirt under your bed you will most likely dream of the spirit. So that's a cool little tidbit I guess. But please, overall, don't do what I did. I was so young and I clearly didn't know what I was doing.

Another story I would like to share, I used to live in a boarding house. Before I continue this story I have to stress "mundane before magical." My old landlord liked to do illegal sketchy stuff and cut corners. Anyway, I had a particularly nasty neighbor that I wanted to drive away. I (responsibly this time) acquired grave dirt from a soldier's grave and put it into a mixture. What was in the mixture eludes me because it was a couple of years ago at this point. I think it was Hot Foot Powder? I put this mixture in front of her door and I made a petition and buried it outside with some grave dirt. I did this out of anger and I spit in it. I also invited other people that felt the same to spit in it too. (Now that I think about this, this was a mistake) After I did that, the washer in front of her door ended up going kaput and they had to replace it. I think they swept up what I left there too. A couple of weeks after that. This woman I hexed tried all her might to send the cops or the fire department after us to try to shut down the boarding house, and eventually she got her way. One by one each of us ended up having to move out or become homeless. I got lucky, cause I had somewhere to go. Can't say the same about some other people, including her. I didn't see her again until just the other day actually. I went somewhere to receive financial assistance in town and I saw her there. And I had to sit next to her while she was talking to the volunteers there. She was talking about how she's basically living in the woods now with no running water and stuff. And apparently she walked a few miles just to get there. A part of me reveled, and the healed part of me felt bad that someone didn't have basic human necessities like running water. So in the end, I suppose I got what I wanted, at the cost of 14 other people, and no satisfaction. Consider my experiences with grave dirt a cautionary tale. I would recommend against using it but I can't control what other people do so please please please be careful, responsible, and respectful. I just wanted to post here to hopefully pass on some sort of wisdom. In my experience, things always come at a cost.

Oh and mods, if this ain't it, not the vibe entirely, feel free to take this down. I will gladly take that L.
