Genuinely curious. I'm asking this because I just ended another affair. I'm 44/M/married. I had been talking to a single former coworker who lived across the country for over a decade. We finally got the logistics and in the right place in our lives to meet. And we did; we met up over two weekends, and it was amazing. But after that logistically we wouldnt be able to see each other again for months. She said she needed more time than I could give her, wanted to move on, was getting a little too critical of my married life, and we ended it on a bad note. Almost to a T, the exact reasons my last affair had ended.
I think affairs are by their very nature, fleeting. I've had several, but the longest physical affair was 6 months. I see people here having APs for years on end. How does that work?
