In years past, a “players only” meeting would’ve taken place. With Lindor injured, and his ego “hurt” (that he wasn’t named team captain, no one is willing to be the leader of the clubhouse. Where then does that responsibility fall when there is no “team captain?” The manager. Mendoza has never once gotten angry or called anyone out in his time as Mets manager. It’s a disgrace. This team has no heart, the manager holds no one accountable for anything.
