When Fantano was releasing videos on the 'ThatIsThePlan' channel back around 2016 the feedback was highly positive, and the channel was growing in popularity rapidly.

The editing was insane (s/o the one guy that did all that editing - he made those videos!) and some were really funny. I was primarily watching those videos over his reviews towards the end.

I'm just curious what newer Fantano followers or those still following him from the 2016 days think of those videos today?

He largely disowned all of that and I'm sure everyone knows the controversy that surrounded the channel before it's nuking. There is so much Fantano criticism in this sub lol. Is the channel treasured? Or is it viewed as problematic? Or something else idk.

I've been checking the genre queue every few days recently. Very interesting to read the new genre submissions.

I find myself learning a lot of music history. I think this will massively enhance the website experience in the long term.

Battle Rap, Black Gospel and Navajo Music are currently in the queue for example. S/o to the same few users who put in the hours to make these submissions!
