Anyone want to take a guess on this noise?

It’s a 1987 924S so same as 944 engine. Previous owner had the clutch and timing belt and water pump done at the same time around 2 years ago, and probably another $8k of other repairs here and there. I have no receipts regarding the valve train but anyways I’ve been driving this car for a week since fixing up the rear end. I’m worried it’s a rod knock but at the same time is rhythmic and doesn’t have that same deep bonk that a rod knock would have, it’s almost like a top end chatter but I am not certain. Depending on engine load it doesn’t get louder but more frequent. For reference I am using Liqui Moly 20w50 and liqui moly hydraulic lifter additive. Once the car is hot it’s louder but when cold in the morning it takes a minute to start the sound when driving. On idle the car is quiet (for a 944 8v engine). Anyways thanks if you happen to have heard this before.

1987 Porsche 924S, amateur repair

I can do mechanical work no problem, but I got this car for such a low price I couldn’t part it out when it was just non structural damage. The engine and transmission, torque tube are all well serviced and more than $12k was put into it before it got rear ended. I bought the car for $3k and decided to get to work. It’s not perfect but it’s my own and I’m pretty proud of it.

I fucked up and my primer dripped a bit in a couple spots. I guess you learn the hard way and I’ll remember to do a better pattern for the real spray. Anyways I guess I’m going for it. Just wish me luck. 🍀
