New temple announced for NW Washington state.

This occurred Sunday, but I have not seen it posted here.

>Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints in Marysville, Washington, learned Sunday that a new temple will be built in their city.

>The announcement from the First Presidency was shared by Elder Hugo E. Martinez of the United States West Area Presidency during a devotional in the Marysville Washington Stake.

This is the second temple announced during President Oak's tenure and follows the new procedure of announcing new temples locally, rather than in General Conference.

>As part of the announcement, Elder Haynie shared that “in a recent meeting of the First Presidency of the Church, a decision was made that, when directed by the First Presidency, the announcement of the construction of a new temple should be made on location by a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles or a member of an Area Presidency.” He added that, “such an announcement by a member of an Area Presidency has never occurred before. Tonight, will be the first.”
