Shenzhen (SZX) - Taipei (TPE) - Amsterdam (AMS)

Hi all,

Thinking of travelling from Shenzhen, with China Airlines, to Taipei and from there on continue to Amsterdam (with KLM). If I book this as 1 ticket it's 1200 euro more expensive then when booking it as 2 separate flights.

Is there anyone with experience on TPE airport with the succes rate of this 'transfer'? Will be flying from Shenzen at 18:00h and the flight to Amsterdam departs at 23:59. Flight time is 1,5h so I expect to land at 19:30 which gives approx 4 hours to get the flight to Amsterdam. Is this doable without my luggage being auto transferred?

Will be arriving in Shenzen on 13th of June, need to fly back to AMS and need to be there on the friday 19th of June before 1/2 pm.

Several options:

  1. Shenzhen -> HKG (taxi)) -> AMS (with Cathay) 2800 euro - prem economy
  2. Shenzhen -> CAN (taxi) -> Dubai (DXB) 3 hr transfer -> AMS (with Emirates) 1600 euro - business
  3. Shenzhen -> CAN (taxi) -> AMS (with China Southern) - 1500 euro - prem economy

What would be your preferred option or go to? Missing any logical routes? I'm not an experienced traveller so tips and tricks are welcome!
