I just wanted to get your views on (i) the likelihood of a 189 round before FY end, and (ii) the chance of a points reform applicable as from July 26 ?
Indeed, while 189 round were confirmed to be quarterly it seems like DHA used the year allocation in two rounds close to each other. I have heard that a last top up round may come, but it would be a small one, yet looking at the allocation and historical data it seems like very small rounds (sub 2000) are pretty rare and that anyway invitations that would be sent out now would likely materialize in grants for next FY as such the 16900 limit does not seems to be so relevant. Finally I am reading that a Gsm reform may be on the way but the proposed changes seems to be replicating the existing system beside maybe the deletion of the professional year and Australian study points.
