I need advice im in th alabama national guard and i ship to bct in august. but i really do want to go active duty im thinking about doing a ELS i need help i really want to get my mili career started but i dont want to ship with national guard knowing thats not where my heart is
So last year august 2025 i shipped out for bct enlisted with the alabama national guard, i found out i was pregnant in reception. Came back home i received a new ship date for August 8th 2026 but i now want to go active duty should i refuse to go to basic or should i start my DD368 form now i have 3 months before i ship out but i need insight on this i also have a guard first contract
