Non-EU Mechanical Engineering in Italian — 76.34 score, Bovisa first choice
Hi everyone,
I’m applying as a non-EU student from Mexico to Ingegneria Meccanica / Mechanical Engineering in Italian at Polimi (Milano Bovisa / Piacenza)
My converted score is 76.34/100, and I already have my Italian B2 certificate uploaded and confirmed in the portal.
I have two main questions:
- Admission chances
For a non-EU applicant to Mechanical Engineering in Italian, how competitive is a 76.34 score? I know nobody can predict the ranking exactly, but I’d like to understand if this score is considered risky, acceptable, or reasonably competitive for Bovisa/Piacenza.
Would you recommend retaking the TOLC-I/TOL to try to improve my score?
- Documents
So far, in the portal I uploaded only:
My high school diploma;
The transcript/report pages for my last three years of high school.
I have not uploaded the Declaration of Value yet, and I have also not uploaded the CIMEA Statement of Comparability/Verification.
From what I understood, those documents can be submitted later, after admission and before final enrollment, possibly around September/October. Is that correct, or could not uploading them now affect my application/ranking?
Any experience from non-EU bachelor applicants, especially for Engineering programs in Italian, would be very helpful.
Thanks!
