Hi,

I have a leak in my evaporator coil. I removed it, but I can’t find the same model on the market because it is no longer manufactured.

The model I have is a 3-ton horizontal evaporator coil for a Goodman AC unit (CHPF3636B6CB), which uses R410A refrigerant.

The dimensions are: W 26" x H 17 1/2" x D 21 1/8". It is a horizontal cased evaporator coil.

My first question is: can I replace it with another coil (Model: CHPF3642C6) that uses the same refrigerant (R410A),but with a capacity of 3 to 3.5 tons and a different height?

My second question is: can I reuse the old TXV from my current coil and install it in the new one? I would like to mention that the new coil comes with a 3–3.5 ton TXV, while my current system is 3 tons.
