I’m 30 she’s 27. So I started dating this girl I’ve known for a long time. It’s been fun and everything but it seems she’s dead set on staying there for reason of getting half the mortgage. Her ex fiancés dad paid for the house they live in but she still wants half the house as her name is on the deed. My dad told me: “if you’re a real man you’d let her move in with you to get out of that situation”. She explained over the course of their relationship this man became abusive emotionally, mentally and sometimes even physically. I offered for her to move in here so she could get out of that situation. She insists that she needs to be at the house a few nights per week to keep presence so she can have the money. Since all of this I have taken that offer off the table. I told her that I’d like to keep talking, and maybe get more serious when she become independent.
