I (34 F) always wanted a full sleeve tattoo and found a very highly rated, very expensive tattoo artist in my area that I did research on. Met for consultation, I paid in full to get a discount, and set up four sessions to get this tattoo completed.

The first three sessions went great, I thought we developed a really good rapport and had plenty to talk about with hobbies and just general conversation. The fourth session is where things went wrong. Halfway through the session, I could tell he was trying to hint at saying he was going to miss me and saying how beautiful I was. I kind of brushed it off, but the more I brushed it off the harder he came at me, he kept trying to touch me inappropriately, asking if we can meet outside of our sessions, etc. With only an hour left of my tattoo, I got up and walked away because I became so uncomfortable.

The next day, I explained to him that I was uncomfortable coming back to him to finish and asked if he would be willing to cover what was left for another tattoo artist outside of his shop. He declined said that the payment was nonrefundable and that I made the choice to leave. He also said he’d be willing to finish up and not do anything to make me uncomfortable again.

Do I have a right to get a nonrefundable fee back for this or do I just cut my losses? Or give him the benefit of the doubt and just finish with him? I did sign a contract that says things are nonrefundable but also feel like this is an extraneous situation.
