I used to be that person who could sit with a book and just disappear into it for hours. It wasn’t something I had to force, I actually looked forward to reading every day.
Now it’s completely different. I’ll pick up a book, read a few pages, and suddenly I’m distracted. My mind starts wandering, or I reach for my phone without even thinking. Sometimes I reread the same paragraph 3–4 times and still don’t take anything in.
It’s not like I don’t want to read. I do. I just… can’t seem to stay with it anymore.
I don’t know if it’s because of stress, social media, or just life changing, but I genuinely miss that version of myself.
Has anyone else gone through this? Did you ever get your focus back?
