Gudas and Jagr were teammates on the Czech Olympic team in 2014, while Jagr's lone season in Philly was Courturier's rookie year. If they don't make it, then it's done.

There were some near misses.

• Noah Hannafin joined the Flames in June 2018, right after Jagr left
• Luke Schenn joined the Flyers the year after Jagr's lone season in Philly
• Reilly Smith was in Dallas when Jagr played in Boston in 2012-13, but the next season Smith was in Boston and Jagr was in Dallas
• Had Jagr not gone to Russia and re-signed with the Rangers, he and Mat Zuccarello could have been teammates
