So I just finished a full rewatch of Prison Break (Season 1 and 2 especially) and I cannot stop thinking about Michael Scofield as a character. Like, on the surface he's this cool, tattooed genius who engineers an impossible escape — but the more I think about it, the sadder the whole thing gets.what gets me most is how selfless and yet self-destructive he is. He takes on everyone's problems. He protects Sucre, he navigates T-Bag (even though that was arguably his biggest mistake), he keeps Lincoln sane, he falls for Sara. His intelligence is portrayed almost like a burden — he can see 47 moves ahead, but he can't stop himself from caring too much about people.
