Geysers are a fantastic new addition! But currently they only spawn on the sulfur spring structures found rarely on the surface.
They would add so much more life to the caves, and blasting yourself up would be super fun, perhaps you could even place blocks and reach ores high up. If on the surface there's an opening to a sulfur cave. there should be a high change for a pool with a powerful geyser to spawn in the cave opening that can blast you to the surface.
