Hi everyone, I’m dealing with a really frustrating issue and I honestly don’t know what else to try at this point.
Over the past few days, I’ve been experiencing small stutters both in my mouse movement and in certain games. The weird part is that these stutters don’t happen all the time — they only occur during specific actions or events.
For example:
- In League of Legends, I get small freezes when I open the shop to buy items.
- In Teamfight Tactics, it happens when I reroll or when new cards appear.
- In The Finals, it’s much more noticeable: whenever there’s destruction (like buildings collapsing), I get noticeable stutters/freezes exactly at that moment.
I’ve never had this problem before. I used to run these games at high settings without any issues. Lowering graphics to minimum didn’t fix anything, so this doesn’t seem to be an FPS issue.
My specs:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6-core)
- RAM: 32 GB
- Motherboard: X570 Pro WiFi
I’ve tried pretty much everything I could think of:
- Updated all drivers (including NVIDIA GPU drivers)
- Updated everything in Armoury Crate, then completely uninstalled it (I read it could cause stuttering)
- Installed the latest CPU chipset drivers
- Used LatencyMon, which reported latency issues
- Applied its recommendations (power settings, display settings, etc.)
- Updated BIOS using a USB drive
- Changed thermal paste (temps are completely fine)
- Checked that all hardware is properly connected
- Verified RAM is working correctly
At this point, I even did a full factory reset of Windows, completely wiping everything and reinstalling only essential drivers.
And still:
- The mouse micro-stutters are still there
- The in-game stuttering still happens under those same specific conditions
The PC works fine overall:
- Temps are normal
- Fans are working
- No crashes
- No general performance drops
This really feels like some kind of latency or system-level issue rather than raw performance.
I’m honestly stuck and don’t know what else to try. If anyone has experienced something similar or has any idea what could be causing this, I’d really appreciate the help.
