I know absolutely nothing about HVAC but I just moved into a new townhouse and went to change the filter, looked inside and noticed the filter was wet. Felt like I put my hand in a small puddle, the filter has water stains.
Grabbed a flashlight and looked further, noticed some specks on the back wall, and the condensate drain looks plugged with very rusty material.
Just looking for advice if this is normal? I am highly allergic to various molds, which is what prompted my concern.
