Hi all,

I'm a solo indie dev. I've been self-hosting Jellyfin for my music for a while, but I've never found an iOS client I was actually happy with. The existing options either felt clunky, didn't handle offline downloads well, or had no real Apple Watch support. (Mostly the Apple Watch bit tho)

So I built JellyAmp.

It's a native iPhone and Apple Watch player for Jellyfin. A few things I really cared about getting right:

  • Standalone Apple Watch app. Browse your library, queue tracks, and play directly from the wrist, even with the iPhone left at home, over LTE or Wi-Fi. Downloaded tracks work fully offline.
  • Background audio, lock-screen controls, AirPlay 2  all the basics you'd expect from Apple Music, pointed at your own server.
  • No accounts. No tracking. No ads. It talks to your Jellyfin server. That's the whole supply chain.

The app just hit the App Store:

Android is coming next. It's a real native build, not a wrapper. I'm putting together a closed beta of 30 testers, and everyone selected gets a free lifetime license at launch. Sign up here: https://jellyamp.app/android/

Honest feedback welcome. What's working, what's missing, what would make you switch from whatever you're using now. I read everything.

Sub here: r/JellyAmp/

Thanks all
