Best place for a 29 year old single male to relocate and restart
Hey guys, I’m about to be 30 in 2 months. I’ve been in central California my whole life and want to start over somewhere new. I don’t have a college degree and I’m currently in online school. I want to sell pretty much what I own and start over somewhere new. I’d like to live in a lively city if possible. New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, and LA all come to mind for different reasons.
Somewhere the dating scene is lively and I could expose myself to more of anything. I am unsure of the weather changes some of these cities back east would provide as I’ve lived in a warm climate my whole life but I’m really open to the culture change in those cities.
I would need to find a new job and maybe a new car as I drive a beater currently but other than that I’m ready to start fresh somewhere new. The exposure to new people socially and romantically is a big reason I want to leave, it would be good to just be somewhere no one knows me.
What places do you think make the most sense? Is there somewhere else you’d recommend? How much do you think I should have saved and is it practical to move with some debt?
