New Fencing Chainsword Heroic

Just another cool idea for a Heroic (I think anyway). This one would see this Fencing Chainswords heavy attacks changed to the Power Axes heavy attacks/animations with a twist. From the start of the heavy chain the Full Throttle skill actives and continues the longer you continue the heavy chain with the same build up the perk has. So while Fencing Weapons are fast but don’t do much damage. You now how a way for this one to do a lot of damage because of Full Throttle, but you have to be able to keep the combo going to get the most damage. So there’s some high risk, high reward to it. And it also changes the way you use the chainsword making it more unique.

No disrespect to the Mod author or anything, I’m sure it’s something they’re working on and will fix it when they can. These things happen and to a degree are to be expected. And to be clear, I don’t know if it’s the main mod or the patches for the DLC’s. All I know is it didn’t work and it crashed/shut down my PS5. So I would hold off on downloading it. Or have a save that doesn’t have it.

Just another random idea that I’m sure others have thought of but I wanted to push for in Year 3 since I think it could make it a more unique year. I think the game should have something new and unique every year the help it feel fresh. This idea is exactly as it sounds, Heroic Class Abilities/gear that will change the way we play the classes. I’d like to see other ideas as well and for this to be something we can push as a community to want to see. So will be harder than others, but here’s 1 idea for each class:

Bulwark: A shield that builds charge as you block incoming damage and is released on either shield bash or cancels out unblockable attacks causing massive damage. This would include Carnifex chargers. And charge Is specific to regular blocks, not parries or perfect blocks.

Assault: Story mode jetpack…that is all.

Vanguard: A Grapple hook that if you hold it on deployment pulls minors and majors to you knocking over enemies on their way to you. Instant recharge on kills with a 10 second cooldown (mainly for minors enemies)

Tactical: Scan makes all scanned enemies entire bodies behave as weak spots.

Sniper: Activating camo right before taking damage results in a counter powerful knife slash from behind the attacking enemy and slows the drain on camo usage for that activation. Cooldown 15 seconds.

Heavy: Iron halo creates a 360 shield around heavy that also cover a 50% larger range.

Techmarine: Grenade Launcher servo gun.

P.S why isn’t there an incendiary grenade in this game? Is there none in the lore?

Given feedback on how powerful some of these may be a figure I should add. . I think for these to be implemented they would need to be less simple to unlock and perhaps would justify a higher difficulty where certain stratagem conditions are the norm. I speaking specifically about ones like more majoris, double extremis or double terminus. Not all 3 at a time, but maybe 2 of them but you never know which 2

I have a simple idea for a block power sword heroic that I thought was cool. Which stems from a concept that I was curious how the community would feel about it. So I guess I’m curious how everyone would feel about the Block Power Sword idea and the concept as a whole.

It’s very simple, this block sword when perfect blocking behaves like the blocking power axe and takes the stance with holding the melee button after results in the same powerful up slash that staggers. With 2 different functions that also come with it. You can either go directly into the counter and then follow up with a power rake into the dash forward stab from the fast mode of power sword. Or you can double stack it which instead of the normal up slash counter, it does a horizontal slash with a power wave that arch’s out.

Which leads into the concept I think they should start implementing for some Heroic. Why not mix certain melee moves the same way they mix melta’s with bolt rifles or the gernade launcher with the heavy bolters?(yes I know there’s a obvious lore reason they’re doing that) Like making the Fencing Chainsword Heroic have Power Axes heavy chain instead of the stomp. And the longer you do it, the “Full Throttle“ skill is running the whole time and the effect in how it gets stronger per second applies to the heavy chain? That creates a whole new unique play style for chain sword.

But that’s it, not super special. But I think it’ll be a lil more interesting then the same weapons with just different perks. What do ya’l think?
