We purchased this home and are finishing up renovations. As part of it, we are replacing the front door that has a glass center with a solid door (see pics). What would be a good door color that would tie in with the existing color scheme?
We are planning to put fresh paint on the shutters and green trim pieces, with the color being painted to match what’s existing.
We purchased a home in central Texas built in 2003. The HVAC was original and had obvious issues so in addition to other renovations, we’ve replaced the coils and furnace. After our HVAC guy was wrapping up, he mentioned there was a boatload of mud dauber nests, not only in our attic, but in the vents as well.
We’re going to bug bomb the attic before moving in and do our best to seal/put mesh on access points where they’re getting in, but for the nests in the vents, is this common? Would it be a good idea to have them cleaned? I’m open to recommendations.
I’ve heard duct cleaning can be a scam, but does it make sense in this situation?
