Weird dark patches in SW Kazakhstan (42°58'40.9"N 55°21'10.7"E)

Strange feature in the Ustyurt Plateau. Can't tell if they're scorch marks/organic material/oil-related or what. Interesting camp about 1.5km to the north east, looks kind of prison-like, otherwise extremely remote.

I posted this a while back on r/geography but nobody seemed to know what it was.

Car Damaged by Cleaner

Hello, my wife brought her car to a valet / car cleaning business in February for a mini-valet. This was the cars first cleaning since we purchased it (251 model bought from the dealer late last year - it was an ex demo, but in perfect condition).

The cleaners ultimately wiped the car with some chemical solution that has damaged the large screen in the centre console - it all still works fine currently at least, but there is some of what appears to be surface damage to the screen, plus what looks like etching marks on the plastics around the console.

We brought the car back to the cleaner, the business owner came down, was apologetic, gave his diagnosis of the problem, in that he believed some liquid had damaged the screen protector on the console screen. We both agreed to bring it to the local dealer (Hyundai) for a diagnosis - with whom he said he often does work for. The cleaner also agreed, verbally, to pay for repairs.

The car was brought to the dealer who have now reported that it needs a full console replacement at a cost of 4500 euro. We shared this information with the cleaner. He has now said (via voice notes) that he is speaking with someone else he knows to get another quote. Additionally it looks like he is now attempting to distance himself, saying he doesn't have proof it was their service that caused the damage, that for the mini valet we paid for the console would have just been "wiped", and that he is trying to "be nice" in helping us. He ultimately said he would not pay the price quoted by the dealership.

I am extremely frustrated. This car was a major purchase for us, and I feel like I do not want to accept any kind of repair that is not from a Hyundai approved service. This cleaning business is well established, and I would certainly hope is insured.

Any advice on what path we should consider taking here is very welcome, please. We have photos of the damage just after it was done (the same afternoon) and, if helpful a picture of the inside of the car from a couple of days before where you can see it isn't damaged.
