GCash Visa charged me for GoDaddy domain purchase but order failed — both sides keep pointing to each other
Hi everyone, I’m really frustrated right now and hoping someone here has experienced the same issue.
I tried purchasing a domain from GoDaddy using my GCash Visa card. During checkout, the transaction encountered an error on GoDaddy’s side and the order did not go through successfully.
However, the amount was still deducted from my GCash account (PHP 2,642.75).
I already contacted GCash support, but they replied with:
“Good day! Based on our review, we did not see this transaction in our system. You may check your Transaction History on your GCash App as reference.”
Then when I contacted GoDaddy support, they told me to contact my bank/card issuer regarding the issue.
So now both sides are basically pointing me to each other while my money is already deducted.
I have:
• Transaction reference number from GCash
• Screenshot of the deduction
• Exact amount and timestamp of the transaction
Has anyone experienced this with GCash Visa + GoDaddy before?
• Did the money get automatically reversed?
• How long did it take?
• Did you need to file a dispute/chargeback?
Any advice would really help because this is stressing me out.
