I’ve been dealing with ongoing skin pigmentation issues for years and it is significantly affecting my quality of life emotionally and socially.

I have used hydroquinone for about two years, but I have not seen lasting improvement, my spots temporarily lighten but continue to return or appear again. I have also tried Pico laser and chemical peels outside of my insurance provider without success. I am currently doing a Rejuvenize Peel, but I am still confused about the best long-term treatment plan.

My dermatology office has also told me they cannot perform laser treatment on my skin because their machine is only safe for lighter skin tones, which I don’t understand in a professional dermatology setting.

They are recommending that I restart hydroquinone again, but I feel like my concerns are not being fully addressed. The pigmentation only lightens up a bit after years, and I am worried there may be an underlying cause that has not been properly evaluated.

At this point, I would really like clearer answers and options. What other specialists can I see to better understand and treat this? I want a more effective long-term solution and help in finally getting this resolved.
