I got into UCSD and UCI as a Transfer Student :)

Hi guys! I got into ERC as a Psych transfer. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure this uni felt like home when I went to the transfer event yesterday (am coming back next week for another thing tho!). However, my parents are really pushing me to go here bc "everything's on campus", "there are more opportunities", "Geisel library is better than Irvine's", and "the weather is sm better here, Irvine gets super hot" etc etc. So, I would love to hear abt y'all's experiences n stuff, esp if ur an ERC student. I am also Persian and Jewish (which is probs why admissions put me in ERC let's be real lmao 💀), so yeah like I said I want to know if the campus is actually socially dead like I've heard.....😭 And Ik I'd have to do MMW and more language classes for ERC which is partly why I'm leaning a lil more towards Irvine but I still would love to hear what y'all think jdefrhgtrfjdkms 🙏

Got in to UCI and UCSD as a Psych Transfer :)

Hi guys! As the title says, I got into UCI and am super excited! I need to make this brief cuz it's Mother's Day weekend, but I'm having a bit of a hard time with my parents. They are both UCI alumni, but are really pushing me towards UCSD cuz "it's closer to the ocean and home", "everything's on campus", and "there are more opportunities" :/ I am just wondering if the bad things abt UCI my mom is saying are true, such as "too quiet", "everyone's a commuter", "gets too hot", etc. My mom is shocked that I liked Irvine a bit more bc "u can't walk to class from the apartments," however, I like that I wouldn't have to rely on the campus for everything, and that the transfer process seems simpler since I did the TAG program. I'm also Persian and Jewish, maybe that's why I feel more inclined to move to OC. Pls lemme know what y'all think lol 😭
