Is this scarring or milia? Need advice on making it go away
I'm 27 and female, and I started seeing these pop up around three or so years ago. I used to have really bad acne as a teen from hormonal problems, but I was able to get that under control in recent years. I still occasionally get one of two pimples popping up in this area, but it's nowhere as bad as it used to be. In fact, I didn't really start seeing these until I got my hormonal acne under control so I don't know if it is scarring since I feel like they should have been there before. These bumps don't hurt, and when I squeeze them nothing comes out. I thought they might have been milia, but googling photos of milia doesn't look exactly the same as these bumps. I just want to know what could help get rid of them or at least make them not look as bad.
My skin care routine:
- La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser once a day
- The Ordinary Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner twice a day
- Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum twice a day
- Madagascar Centella Tea-Trica Relief Ampoule once a day
- elf Holy Hydration Fragrance Free Face Cream twice a day
- I have used a few different scrub exfoliants over the years, only using them once a week. I also used a gentle retinol cream at one point. The retinol cream didn't do anything for me except make my skin hurt. I have recently changed from using scrubs to The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeling solution twice a week for 5-7 minutes before washing it off.
For extra health info in case it helps rule things out, I took Accutane for 6 months between the ages of 17-18. I currently take Spironolactone and have been taking it for about 3 1/2 years, and this is what got my hormonal acne under control. I drink roughly a gallon of water a day and eat almost exclusively whole foods, and I also avoid eating foods that I know bother me. I have a connective tissue disorder, which is probably hEDS but I'm currently getting my DNA tested and waiting on those results.
Any help is appreciated!
