Finally want to actually explore my sexuality more after 10 years out the closet

Seen a lot of threads with similar themes but nothing that sounds like my situation. I (26m, bi/gay) have been out for a decade, even if the exact label has chopped and changed a little over the years.
Ever since I came out, I’ve really struggled to find casual sex. I get one, maybe two, hook ups a year and they seldom progress beyond making out or oral to an extent where I’m not really sure if I’m even T or B for not having really tried either. I’m not attractive by any means, but would like to think I’m not a charity case either - 6 foot, stocky but fit, hairy, clear skin, nice eyes, frequently get told I have ‘good energy’ - and have lived in urban centres here in the UK pretty much my whole life.
After ten years I’d really like to be able to turn this situation around and actually explore my sexuality, but on the apps I get roundly ignored and don’t really understand the politics of meeting people in bars and clubs. I also don’t really want to have to start scraping the barrel just to have sex for sex’s sake.
It would be really interesting to hear any tips or advice the gays of Reddit have on what to do in this situation. Also happy to receive DMs if anyone’s open to conversation and would share pics/more details there ofc.
