Webex MT.
9861 phones

Full rant.

Now I can't get the barge feature to work.
The docs say it's a supported feature on the 9800 phones and I want to use it.
Privacy is turned off and Barge in is enabled for all sets involved.

I suspect it's related to another issue I have where I can't join two calls on my phone together.

It seems to take days to get a response back from tech support. These issues could actually hold up cutting my enterprise over.

I would love for someone to say "You're an idiot. Just change setting X and you're good to go." But I feel like the features Webex says is supported haven't been fully tested. Perhaps that's why I exist, to be a beta tester for them. If that's the case, I don't ever want to talk to Sherlock again.

I need some help on this. (two different AIs have been wrong.)
I have a 9861 on WxC.
I have one active call and one call on hold.
Now I want to merge them.
There doesn't seem to be a way to do that, at least on a 9861.
Even my support vendor says there should be a "join" option.
There isn't.
If there's an option in the Control Hub, I haven't been able to find it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hello,

From what I understand it is not possible to SIP dial a group. A phone number must be used.

I'm surprised that users have an SIP address but not groups.

Can someone explain why that is ?

Thank you

I realized today that if we could whitelist specific calling numbers to a virtual line we could eliminate an entire segment of the financial trading industry. Using a DID on both ends and programming the virtual line as a PLAR, you would no longer need to purchase ARDs from specialized providers. Using a whitelist would stop unauthorized calls to the line.

Has anyone recently transitioned to webex calling from on prem.?.. 600 users mainly centralized with a remote site here. I'm curious what the transition was like for you and your experience post transition. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Just wanting to see if anyone's had a chance to raise Cisco TAC for the recent security vulnerability CVE-2026-20184 where webex control hub running SSO requires possibly re-generation of cert for iDP ? has anyone done that recently ? or is cisco team putting in fix in the background and customers don't need to do anything ? appreciate any feedback.

It appears I've found a bug in the Webex Calling Voicemail.
Setup: User has recorded name, busy and RNA greetings.
Admin makes any change in the Send calls to voicemail section. (i.e. Changes the Zero target)
This replaces the Busy and RNA greetings to the User's name.
Essentially, it deletes the greetings and the user has to rerecord.

One of the neat features of the 9800 series phones is the ability to transcribe the audio in real time. I don't think it's particularly useful, especially since there doesn't seem to be a way to save the transcription but it's one of those "WOW" features I liked to show off.
However, I had to turn it off in my environment because it caused delays in audio cut-through when answering the phone. Has anyone else noticed this?

Testing out a demo of WebEx Calling, anyone know if its possible to emulate the auto answer with speakerphone feature from CUCM in WebEx, we use this as a intercom replacement into specific rooms where the phone is located by the door. Paging Groups seems like one option but it is only for one way communication.
