I like to think I'm a pretty patient parent to my 1.5 year old. But oh man, do I get triggered especially when he starts crying for my toxic parents-in-law. I know he's a child and he's not doing it to bug me, and I try not to show him my disapproval of his behavior. But it upsets me so deeply when it happens. I just want to acknowledge how hard it is to heal old wounds and not let them affect your child, because kids do unintentionally push your buttons sometimes.
