Perfect Crown is getting me out of my prolonged kdrama slump
I started watching it because it was so hyped up even before its release and for all good reasons:
- production value 👑
- IU and Byeon Woo-seok 😍
- a mix of modern world and Joseon era 🫰
It’s marketed as a rom-com and that’s exactly what it feels - a very good quality rom-com with a story that’s been told thousands of times but somehow it still feels fresh here.
The acting is amazing, both form the main and supporting cast.
Disclaimers:
- I’m only on ep3 and I’ve been burnt before (I’m looking at you, Love Next Door and Potato Lab) but I still have high hopes cause I don’t remember the last time I laughed out loud in the middle of the night while watching a kdrama.
- Yes, her nails are atrocious but I’m ready to look past it because she’s such an amazing character.
