As a new user of the S25 Ultra, I would like to share my review and overview of a clone of the Pitaka Milky Way case.
I couldn't find much info or reviews of it, so I decided to share my thoughts here.

‎ ‎

Feel of the case

  • The texture of the clone is smoother. Pitaka has a much nicer, more pronounced woven texture, which I prefer due to grip (still not as good as some grip cases, obviously). The clone can be a bit more slippery, but still feels nice and silky to the touch.
  • The perimeter edges all around have a softer curve; Pitaka has it sharper. I prefer the more rounded, softer edges on the clone, but that is a negligible difference.
  • The edges are also uniform all around - for some reason, and I don't know if that is on every Pitaka case, the side edges near the bottom have a slight divot on each side at the same height on my actual Pitaka. It cannot really be seen due to how matte these cases are, but it can definitely be felt when you run your finger over it. The clone doesn't have that.
  • The material thickness is about the same on the clone, so it has the exact same sleek feel - almost like a phone without a case on.

Look and the quality of the woven pattern

  • The color is nice, deep blue compared to my genuine Pitaka Moonrise.
  • There is obviously no logo, other than the Magsafe lettering on the inside of the case.
  • The pattern is definitely not as high quality as the Pitaka. If you look closely, the blue aramid fibres are okay, but where the yellow ones are, it can get sloppy, and you can see imperfections very easily.

Cutouts and raised edges

  • The clone has a bit more rough cutouts - some look okay, some are a little bit lower quality. But it's not horrible.
  • They are quite precise, but as in the photos, you can see they differ from Pitaka - especially around the buttons, and the charging port. It's not like it would make it worse; it's just different.
  • The raised corners protecting the screen are more pronounced on the actual Pitaka. You can see it in the photos as well. With a screen protector installed on my S25 Ultra, I can feel it's raised over it on the clone, but definitely not as much as with Pitaka.

Camera lens protection

  • Neither Pitaka nor this clone has great Camera lens protection. But that is not something expected from this type of case either.
  • The metal lens protector on the case is ever so slightly raised over the lenses, just like on Pitaka, but the design is quite different. It's thin and kind of looks like the official Samsung cases.
  • The secondary cutouts for flash, etc, are precise on the clone. The cutout for the flash, especially, is much smaller compared to what it's like on Pitaka. I guess due to the smaller flash cutout, the case thickness around it goes down a little bit, which you can feel with your finger (There is a step down around it)

Magsafe

  • The magnet is definitely not as strong as the Pitaka. I can't give you exact numbers on this, but just by feel, I would say the magnets on Pitaka are at a minimum twice as strong.
  • Obviously, if you have any MagSafe accessories on it, it will affect the S Pen, but that is an issue with every MagSafe S25 Ultra case.

Case fit on the phone itself

  • The clone fit is precise for the S25 Ultra - no issues there. I feel like it's more snug than the Pitaka I have. I had to really push the phone into the case for it to click - that's how tight it was. With my Pitaka, it goes in more easily. So I am impressed by the clone in this regard.

Final thoughts

It's not as good as the more premium Pitaka, but it's not bad at all. If you're looking for an aramid woven case, this is not a bad choice. The only issue I have with it is the magnetic strength - that is kind of a bummer.

When I consider the price of this clone, you get a good case for what you pay.

I still 100% recommend getting a genuine Pitaka for the magnetic ring strength. (Especially for MagSafe car holders)

My OnePlus 7 Pro was an amazing phone that aged very well, but the battery started dying (again, it was changed once already), and it was simply time to upgrade to something that will hopefully last another 7 years :)

S25U is absolutely amazing, love the cameras, display, speed, and all the new features I was lacking on Android 11.

It also made sense to go with Samsung, since I have the Watch 6 Classic, and Buds 2 Pro :)
