For context the player in this case is moving from a forest type of area to a desert town but the transition currently feels too abrupt I was thinking of a scene in between where the player walks from the forest area to the desert area but I have hardware limitations with scene management because of a shitty laptop ( making the game in unity ). So what should I do I don't want the player experience to be very restrictive where me as the dev forces the player to move in only certain directions I want the player to have a little more freedom is it possible or should I just stick with the abrupt change??
