Lucky is a 15 year old professional fetcher. He has terminal cancer but refuses to let that get in the way of his work. Best dog I've ever had other than his sister who passed three years ago.

It's been a little over a year since I bought these ARs. They're nice. They are not my favorite boot ever. But they're absolutely fantastic for what I paid.
I got them on sale last spring and they have literally been all over the country (US). I mostly wear them for walking and light hikes, and sometimes I'll wear them out to events. I love the width, but I absolutely do not need the amount of volume they provide.
What I have done to make them comfortable for me is to add a Nick's leather insole, kilties and a birkosport deep heel cup insole on top of that.
The leather insole helps keep the water off my socks. The poly midsole on these lower end ARs basically acts as a wick that shoots water straight into your feet. It also takes up volume. Then birkenstock makes possibly the best foot bed out there, so I wanted to try their insoles and they are remarkably comfortable. Though they are not quite as comfortable as fp insoles.
The actual boots themselves look good. Many people have asked me what they are and seem impressed with the build quality. The oringo wedge soles have held up quite well for mostly being walked on concrete and trails.
The wet traction on rocks is less than desirable, but the overall traction is quite impressive considering there isn't much actual tread. I literally summited a mountain in these. And all my friends that had trail runners on turned back because they weren't confident.
These are a boot you can wear all day and they look and feel great, people have said "they look like shoes smart people wear". I am confident in recommending the premium version of these. The pricepoint is incredible. I did have to do some customization to make them work for me, but I still love them. Looks like I'll get many years of use out of them too.
If you're on the fence about ARs, get the premium version. You'll love them. Just pay close attention to the sizing chart and you'll be fine.
