"I’m 46 and stuck in that weird zone where I can’t tell if something is actually off, or if I’m just paying the price for getting older and being inconsistent.

Energy has definitely dropped over the last year. I still function, go to work, handle responsibilities, all that. But I don’t feel sharp anymore. I wake up tired more often than not, rely on caffeine too much, and by evening I’m pretty much done.

I’ve also lost motivation to train. I still go sometimes, but it feels like I’m dragging myself there instead of wanting to be there. Recovery is slower too. Soreness lasts longer, strength isn’t moving, and I’ve gained weight mostly around the stomach.

The honest truth is my habits aren’t perfect. Sleep could be better. Stress is real. Diet is decent but not amazing. So part of me thinks I should lock those in first.

But another part of me wonders if I’m ignoring something bigger. I finally got bloodwork done and testosterone was lower than I expected, though not crazy low.

Now I’m reading about TRT and trying to figure out if it’s for men with clear medical issues only, or if it can actually help guys in this gray area.

Anyone else deal with that , is it lifestyle or hormones? confusion before making a decision?"
